When do I need to sign up at Internshipfinder.co ?
We usually recommend to sign up as soon as possible. In general, around 4-6 months before you plan to start would be great.
How long does it take to find a company based on my requirements?
In general it takes around 2 months to find a suitable company. We also have the option to apply at internships available in our database, these companies are directly looking for a student. This could be a last-minute option.
I already found an internship myself, do you also offer only a Student Visa ?
Yes, for the US we have a J1 student visa Service for Bali / Dubai / Australia etc we could also assist you with student visas only. Also if you only need student accommodation we are happy to assist you.
Could I choose any location ?
We always recommend to choose for major cities. This way, it is easier to get student accommodation and more opportunities for internships and fun activities. During the intake meeting we always brainstorm together what type of country / city works best for you. As an example; you like to go to Australia and love the beach? Yeah Sydney is great.. but how about Perth ? more value for money, lower rent and stunning beaches.. we love to brainstorm with you to find the best destination that works for you.
What would be the minimum age to apply?
If you have an European passport, then the minimum age of 16 within Europe will be widely accepted with e.g. a Dutch MBO level 3 education would work.
The USA is very strict with the J1 Visa and the minimum age will be 18 years old. To do a Traineeship 18 – 65 will be no problem. This means, you are graduated a few years ago – keen to resign your job and doing an adventure abroad – Great, we could help you for sure!
Do you also offer short-term internships?
Yes ! For example, in London we offer a summer internship. A great opportunity to develop your English during the summer. In the USA we could offer an internship as from 3 weeks. We have endless possibilities.

What will we discuss during the 30 min free call?
We are interested in your background information; what do you study, where are you from, where do you like to go etc?
Based on this, we could give you an indication what type of internships we could offer you and we will discuss more details. Additionally, we go through all steps and we take the time to answer all your questions.
Are all internships / Traineeships paid?
unfortunately, we can’t guarantee this for 100%. Every case is different and companies could also pay you in terms of free accommodation or food etc. Some companies will make an extra effort to guide you and making sure you learn a lot – this means it will be unpaid. Commercial companies could also offer you to work on a commission e.g. real estate companies in Dubai.
On average; an internship remuneration of around $ 250 – $ 750 per month would be achievable. It also depends on your CV / type of education etc.
For an traineeship of 12 months in the USA we always try to achieve to get at least the minimum wage of $ 15 per hour.
Could I also travel after I finished my internship?
Of course, within the J1 Visa in the USA you are allowed to travel a month after you are done with your internship. It’s a lifetime opportunity – we always recommend to travel as much as possible!
We could also negotiate with the company if you could work from home a few days / hours a week. This way you have a more flexible lifestyle and enjoy your yoga / gym session in the morning.
